Gateway Fluid Power - The essence of our existence:
We are committed to building lasting, win-win, relationships with our customers.
History
Gateway Fluid Power was established in 2003. Its humble beginnings started out in a small building just off the banks of the
Mississippi river in downtown St. Louis Missouri. As our reputation for outstanding quality and service began to spread, we soon
discovered that this small building would not handle our customer's requirements. We re-located to Granite City, IL in 2004, into a
building with 13,500 square feet of space.
As our product offerings and services began to expand, so did our customer base. We began with a design to manufacture electro-hydraulic
power units, offering the latest in hydraulic components and electronic controls. This latest design soon found its entry into the
oil and natural gas drilling rig industry. With the new market opening up in Texas, Gateway Fluid Power opened its Houston office
in August of 2006. This location consisted of 1 manufacturing/repair building with approximately 13,000 square feet and 1 warehouse/office
building with approximately 7,500 square feet.
Due to the increased buisness in the electro-hydraulic power unit market, we expanded our Granite City, IL location to 36,000 square feet
of office, warehouse and manufacturing space.
Human Resources
Our strategy is to employ talented, trained and skilled professionals in every position within our organization. We currently have
a staff of:
- (4) certified Fluid Power Specialists to facilitate quality products and services at all levels for each of our customers.
- (2) electricians specializing in electrical design, automation, wiring and troubleshooting.
- (4) certified welders.
- (4) field service technicians.
- (13) other full time employees that support the production, sales and administrative processes.
Inventory
We currently stock close to $1,500,000 of inventory in support of our customers' needs. This is an expensive strategy that we employ
in order to meet our customers' demands. The management and sales staff have both agreed that in order to compete and serve the customer
we must carry an extensive line of products and at the quantities needed.
Sales
During the last 4 years our sales have exploded from zero in 2003 to nearly $15,000,000 in 2007. This did not happen by accident. We
at Gateway Fluid Power are 100% dedicated, without resolve, to providing:

- service excellence.
These three characteristics set us apart from our competitors. Our goal is to maintain 100% effectiveness in all three of these areas.
