Gateway Fluid Power - The essence of our existence:
We are committed to building lasting, win-win, relationships with our customers.
History
Gateway Fluid Power was established in 2003. Its humble
beginnings started out in a small building just off the banks
of the Mississippi river in downtown St. Louis Missouri. As
our reputation for outstanding quality and service began to
spread, we soon discovered that this small building would
not handle our customer's requirements. We re-located to Granite
City, IL in 2004, into a building with 13,500 square feet
of space.
As our product offerings and services began to expand, so
did our customer base. We began with a design to manufacture
electro-hydraulic power units, offering the latest in hydraulic
components and electronic controls. Our systems soon found
their way into the oil and natural gas drilling industry.
With our entry into this new market, Gateway Fluid Power opened
a 21,000 square foot manufacturing and repair facility in
Houston Texas during August of 2006. Additionally, in early
2007 we expanded our Granite City location to a 42,000 square
foot office, warehouse and manufacturing facility to accommodate
our growing distribution and OEM demands. In 2008 Gateway
Fluid Power continues to expand its resources and capabilities
with projected sales in excess of 20 million dollars..
Human Resources
Our strategy is to employ talented, trained and skilled professionals
in every position within our organization. We currently have
a staff of:
- Four certified Fluid Power Specialists to facilitate quality
products and services at all levels for each of our customers.
- Three electricians specializing in electrical design,
automation, wiring and troubleshooting
- Three certified welders
- Four field service technicians
- Thirty-Three full time employees that support the production,
sales and administrative processes
Inventory
We currently stock close to $1,500,000 of inventory in support
of our customers' needs. This is an expensive strategy that
we employ in order to meet customer demand. Gateway Fluid Power
understands that in order to compete and serve the customer,
we must represent and carry a diverse group of product lines.
Sales
During the last five years our sales have exploded from zero
in 2003 to nearly $20,000,000 in 2008. This did not happen by
accident. Gateway Fluid Power is 100% dedicated, without resolve,
to providing:
- Superior products
- Leading edge technologies
- Service excellence
These three characteristics set us apart from our competitors.
Our goal is to maintain 100% effectiveness in all three of these
areas.
