Gateway Fluid Power - Automation controls, design, programming and manufacturing:
The Computer Management System (CMS) is typically an Allen-Bradley PLC controller.
A PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC) is an industrial computer control system that continuously monitors the state
of input devices and makes decisions based upon a custom program, to control the state of devices connected as outputs.
Allen-Bradley ® PLC controller
Accepts an input scan - scans the state of all inputs.
Initiates a program scan - Executes the program logic ( defined by Gateway Fluid Power ).
Initiates an output scan - Energize/De-energize the output signal(s).
Performs any required housekeeping.
Allen-Bradley ® PLC Inputs:
Sensing devices.
Switches and pushbuttons.
Proximity switches.
Limit switches.
Pressure switches/transducers.
Linear transducers.
Allen-Bradley ® PLC Outputs:
Valves - controlling the amount of fluid going to a component ( speed ).
Valves - controlling the amount of pressure going to a component ( force ).
Solenoids - Open or closing or metering.
Pumps - Controlling volume or displacement.
Basic functions of a PLC controller.
Allen-Bradley ® PLC 5 controller incorporated into a Gateway Fluid Power custom designed electronic panel.
Deployed on a GFP dual-drive, electro-hyrdauilc power unit similar to the one shown above.
